Tibet: New Radio Station Launched

Tibet’s Lhasa People's Radio Station has started airing today, broadcasting in both Tibetan and Han languages, according to Lhasa Evening News.

The station's signals will cover Lhasa's urban areas, its seven counties and one district. The station will use FM 91.4 after obtaining the approval of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Deputy Director of the Lhasa Radio and Television Station Xu Weijun said.

The station will focus on broadcasting news from the Central People's Radio Station and Tibet People's Radio Station. It will also launch some programmes of its own.

The station will operate from 7.50 a.m. to 10.10 p.m., lasting 14 hours and 20 minutes every day.
