Sri Lanka: Government  To Set Up A Media Authority

Sri Lanka Minister of Media Keheliya Rambukwella says that the government is taking measures to set up a Media Authority.

 

 

The aim of the Media Authority is to obtain the support of the media persons in the development of the post-war Sri Lanka.

The Minister highlighted that the government will act in accordance with the media ethics when setting up the Media Authority.

The Ministry expects to consult senior journalists to set up this committee.

Minister Rambukwella revealed about the plan to form a Media Authority at a felicitation ceremony held in Kandy today in his honor. It was organized by the media persons of his home town in Kandy district.
